Syngenta Zambia: Transforming Agriculture in Zambia Through Innovation and Collaboration

Syngenta Zambia's platinum sponsorship at the Agritech Expo 2023 was a remarkable triumph that we hope will transform the agricultural sector in Zambia. Syngenta showcased the latest advancements in agricultural technologies, products, and services that serve as innovative resolutions to the surging needs of farmers while simultaneously tackling the emerging demand for sustainable food.

Syngenta’s commitment to ensuring food security in the country was demonstrated at last year’s AgriTech when we introduced an innovation powerhouse of solutions to the daunting challenges of farming such as climate change and soil health, which threaten Zambia’s food security.

At this year's Agritech Expo, we recognized that the challenges facing the agricultural sector are constantly changing, and as such, our approach must evolve as well. That's why our focus is centered around the innovations and solutions that we've developed to meet the growing needs of farmers, while also addressing the emerging demand for sustainable food production.

Our theme is centered on the farmer and their needs: we aim to transform growers' productivity sustainably through regenerative agriculture and innovative solutions, all while partnering for impact.

Syngenta recognizes  that it can not achieve its ambitions alone, and is deliberate about strategic and impactful partnerships  and understands that farmers require holistic solutions. For this reason, Syngenta continues to build strong collaborations with the government, the Ministry of Agriculture, regulators, Croplife, Zambia Seed Association, farmers, and initiatives such as Agritech, among others. These partnerships will help transform local agriculture and steer it towards progressive and sustainable methods.

One of the highlights of this year’s event was the incredible online coverage under the theme #TheAgriTechExperienceWithSyngenta. Syngenta engaged an influential young woman farmer, Maanda Sianga, to help with their online coverage at the event. Media outlets were also present at the Expo to cover the impactful stories about our work.

Syngenta  also showcased groundbreaking and eco-friendly innovations, such as FORTENZA® Duo technology, MIRAVIS Duo®, and the upcoming TYMIRIUM® Technology. Visitors explored Syngenta's wide portfolio of products and services, and Syngenta was able to showcase its commitment to engaging in impactful partnerships and introducing game-changing technologies.
